A 520-acre stand of sand dunes along the Beaver River, on the edge of the Panhandle plains. The dunes are an old river deposit reworked by the prairie wind, and they shift enough that the ridge above the campground is never quite the same shape twice. Most weekends belong to off-road riders. Most weekdays belong to the wind, the cottonwoods along the river, and whatever tracks the night left behind.

Slowly infused into the ceramic surface under high heat and pressure, in our family studio in Knoxville, Tennessee.
