South Palm Beach County built a string of artificial reefs by sinking freighters and tugs along the shelf. The Gulf Stream runs close here, fast and warm, and the wrecks fill up with goliath grouper through August and September. Divers drop in over the Castor, the Captain Tony, the Lofthus. The wheel is gone; the railings are coral now.

Slowly infused into the ceramic surface under high heat and pressure, in our family studio in Knoxville, Tennessee.
