Broken Bow Lake
$22.00
A clear, cold reservoir tucked into the Ouachita pine country of McCurtain County, held back by Broken Bow Dam on the Mountain Fork River. About 14,000 acres of water move slowly through a shoreline of shortleaf pine and oak. Beavers Bend State Park keeps the south end. In late autumn the hardwoods turn rust above the green, and the morning fog burns off the coves around nine.
