A 150-seat songwriter room tucked into the ground floor of the Texas Union, opened in 1979 and run as a listening room ever since. The stage is barely raised. Lyle Lovett played here before anyone knew the name; so did Townes Van Zandt, Robert Earl Keen, Nanci Griffith. The drink list is short. The audience leans in.
