Cap de Creus rocky cape

Cap de Creus is a wind-scoured cape east of Cadaqués, the easternmost headland of mainland Spain. Its schist and slate have been folded and twisted into surreal forms — shapes that fed Salvador Dalí's eye at nearby Port Lligat. The lighthouse, automated in 1962, marks the tip. The tramontana blows hard most of the year and keeps the cape nearly treeless above the cove line.
