A black-and-white banded tower, 151 feet of cast iron lined in brick, lit in 1868. The first lighthouse here sank in the sand within twenty years, so the keepers walked the new one half a mile inland in 1894. Now it stands a few miles south of Launch Complex 39. From the catwalk you can see the Atlantic on one side and the pads on the other.

Slowly infused into the ceramic surface under high heat and pressure, in our family studio in Knoxville, Tennessee.
