Six blocks of brick and sandstone in a narrow gulch, rebuilt after the fires of 1879 and 1894 in the Italianate commercial style of every boomtown that wanted to outlast its luck. Saloon No. 10 sits a few doors from where Wild Bill Hickok was shot in 1876. Limited-stakes gambling came back in 1989 and paid to restore the facades that had been quietly leaning into the next century.
