Pale gold dunes that move a little every year, walked by the trade winds off Africa. The sand is mostly shell and coral, not desert sand, though it reads the same from the road. The protected stretch runs eight kilometres south from Corralejo town, with the cone of Lobos sitting just offshore. Most visitors stop at one pull-off and never see the inner basins.

Slowly infused into the ceramic surface under high heat and pressure, in our family studio in Knoxville, Tennessee.
