Lewis and Clark Lake
$22.00
The last reservoir on the Missouri before the river runs free again. Gavins Point Dam holds it back just upstream of Yankton, and the chalkstone bluffs along the north shore are some of the only ones left that look the way Lewis and Clark would have seen them. Sailboats on summer weekends. Walleye and paddlefish below the dam. The Niobrara comes in from the south through a delta of cottonwoods that has been quietly growing all century.
Slowly infused into the ceramic surface under high heat and pressure, in our family studio in Knoxville, Tennessee.
