A fifty-acre garden on the north edge of Richmond, built from the country estate of the tobacco magnate Lewis Ginter and his niece Grace Arents. The Conservatory's central dome rises over palms and orchids and holds the garden's color through the gray Virginia winters. Outside, the Rose Garden, the Asian Valley, and the Children's Garden run down toward Lake Sydnor. The light through the dome at four o'clock in February is its own season.

Slowly infused into the ceramic surface under high heat and pressure, in our family studio in Knoxville, Tennessee.
