A working creek-mouth on the bay side of the Eastern Shore. Crabbing skiffs tied two-deep at the bulkhead, the Tangier ferry idling at the end of the dock, a tin-roofed market house at the head of the wharf. The town behind it is half a mile of clapboard and crepe myrtle. By ten the watermen are back in with the morning's catch.

Slowly infused into the ceramic surface under high heat and pressure, in our family studio in Knoxville, Tennessee.
