Oviedo Cathedral pre-Romanesque
$22.00
The cathedral that grew up around something older. Set into the south transept, the Camara Santa is pre-Romanesque, built under Alfonso II in the ninth century, and holds the Cross of the Angels and the Victory Cross. The Gothic shell came later. Oviedo is the start of the Camino Primitivo, the oldest of the pilgrim roads.
Slowly infused into the ceramic surface under high heat and pressure, in our family studio in Knoxville, Tennessee.
