A municipal park that doesn't behave like one. The land slopes down through hardwoods to the Rivanna, and the ponds hold bass and bluegill for kids with cane poles. Joggers, dog-walkers, a public golf course tucked into the hillside. The sort of place a city keeps for itself, not for postcards.
