The downtown towers of Phoenix sit on the floor of the Salt River valley, with Camelback to the north, South Mountain to the south, and the Estrellas holding the western horizon. The skyline reads low and bright against open Sonoran sky. Late afternoon, the buildings turn copper for about eight minutes before the sun drops behind the White Tank Mountains.

Slowly infused into the ceramic surface under high heat and pressure, in our family studio in Knoxville, Tennessee.
