Pickwick Lake is the reservoir behind Pickwick Landing Dam on the Tennessee River, built by the TVA in 1938. The lake reaches across the corners of Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee, covering about 43,100 acres at full pool. In Mississippi it lies in Tishomingo County, bordered by Tishomingo State Park. Smallmouth-bass anglers know this water well. The bluffs are limestone and the shorelines run rocky.
