Perched dunes along the eastern end of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, rising roughly three hundred feet above Lake Superior between Au Sable Point and Grand Marais. Bear grass and pitch pine hold the upper slopes. The Log Slide drops straight to the water, the route loggers once used to send timber crashing down to the beach.

Slowly infused into the ceramic surface under high heat and pressure, in our family studio in Knoxville, Tennessee.
