A white-painted brick lighthouse at the west end of St. George Island, where the Apalachicola Bay meets the open Gulf. The original tower went up in 1833 and was rebuilt twice; the current structure is a 2008 reconstruction from the salvaged brick of the 2005 collapse. It stands 72 feet tall in a small park beside the keeper's house and a museum. The Forgotten Coast is the quietest stretch of the Florida panhandle, with long stretches of empty beach on either side and almost no built skyline behind it.

Slowly infused into the ceramic surface under high heat and pressure, in our family studio in Knoxville, Tennessee.
