Vejer de la Frontera white village
$22.00
A pueblo blanco set on a limestone hill about 190 metres above the Atlantic plain of Cádiz. Whitewashed houses, walled gardens, narrow stepped lanes that turn back on themselves at every corner. The Moorish castle and the Iglesia del Divino Salvador anchor the old town inside what remains of the medieval walls. On clear days the view runs south to Cape Trafalgar and, with the right air, across to the Rif coast of Morocco. The wind off the Strait is constant — locals call it the levante.
